Yeniboğaziçi Municipality Organizes Special Art Festival for Children: Children's Rights Painting Competition

Yeniboğaziçi Municipality provided an unforgettable day for young artists with its "Children's Rights" themed painting competition held on November 20th, World Children's Rights Day. Students from the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades of Yeniboğaziçi Primary School, Mormenekşe Primary School, Alaniçi Primary School, Mustafa Kemal Primary School, and Yakın Doğu Yeniboğaziçi Primary School showed great interest in the competition.

The young artists showcased their imaginations and creativity. Expressing their feelings and thoughts on children's rights through colors, their little hands created beautiful works of art. The winners will be determined by a jury and announced in the coming days.

A Special Message from Mayor Katip Demir to the Students

Yeniboğaziçi Mayor Katip Demir congratulated all the students who participated in the competition, saying, “We believe that our children are our future. We organize such events to support their dreams, nurture their creativity, and raise awareness in society. I thank all the students who participated in this wonderful competition that raised awareness about children's rights.”

Mayor Demir also thanked all the schools that hosted the competition for their contributions. Yeniboğaziçi Municipality will continue to organize events that contribute to the development of children and give them a voice.

"There is a secret bond between slowness and memory, between speed and forgetting. A man is walking down the street. At a certain moment, he tries to recall something, but the recollection escapes him. Automatically, he slows down. Meanwhile, a person who wants to forget a disagreeable incident he has just lived through starts unconsciously to speed up his pace, as if he were trying to distance himself from a thing still too close to him in time. The degree of slowness is directly proportional to the intensity of memory; the degree of speed is directly proportional to the intensity of forgetting."
