  • Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti Cittaslow Ağı Demre’de Noel Baba Etkinliklerine Katıldı

The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Cittaslow Network participated in Santa Claus events in Demre.

The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Cittaslow Network, under the leadership of our Scientific Board Chairman Azmi Öge, participated in the 2nd Santa Claus Events organized by the Demre Municipality of Antalya. The Yeniboğaziçi Municipality Folk Dance Group received great acclaim for their dances, while the Mehmetçik Büyükkonuk Municipality and Geçitkale-Serdarlı Municipality showcased our country in the best possible way with their local product stands.

The event, which attracted great interest from the TRNC teams, represented a significant contribution to promoting our country. We would like to thank the Mayor of Demre Municipality, Mr. Fahri Duran, and all the municipality staff for their impeccable hospitality towards our teams during the events.

"There is a secret bond between slowness and memory, between speed and forgetting. A man is walking down the street. At a certain moment, he tries to recall something, but the recollection escapes him. Automatically, he slows down. Meanwhile, a person who wants to forget a disagreeable incident he has just lived through starts unconsciously to speed up his pace, as if he were trying to distance himself from a thing still too close to him in time. The degree of slowness is directly proportional to the intensity of memory; the degree of speed is directly proportional to the intensity of forgetting."
